Pouring down, what now, I'm sorry. Now it'stoo late to turn it around.
Let's go wait till the water runs dry. We'll watch as our lives pass us by.
Let's just wait till the water runs dry to make the biggest mistake of our lives.

A week had passed by, an entire week had passed by since DaiFuyu's orb had pulsed red. The orb had been a keepsake from the goddess herself, in all of the years the orb had been in her possession, never had it pulsed such a vivid red color. The leader wondered if the Solarisclan leader viewed it the same way she did.
Something was going to happen, something incredibly wrong, something they can't avoid. Something was going to change the clan's lives forever. The lunar goddess rarely sent signs, when they were sent, they were sent in such a roundabout way that the warriors often misunderstood.
The real question wrapped around her mind like a tight coil, was this the right decision? Was she picking wrong? Would it be wrong to assign these roles to such young clan members?
No, it couldn't be. After all, why else would the goddess send such a sign if not to foretell some grave forthcoming. But still, that sense of doubt remained there.
The sun was shining brightly in the morning when DaiFuyu decided to call a meeting. She wondered how her clan would take such news. Would they panic? Would the clan fall into a pile of disarray?
DaiFuyu stepped out of her den, already seeing the members gathering around the high stone. The Lunarisclan leader now stared down at her people, each and every individual eye was watching her with a mixture of awe and worry. It had been several years since the last meeting.
"Lunarisclan members." Her voice was loud and yet gentle, reaching the far ends of the cavern without screaming. "I am before you this morning to inform you a sign given to me by the goddess."
DaiFuyu released the orb just as a gush of water snaked from outside the meeting to underneath the orb, as a support. All clan mates watched what was unfolding before their eyes. DaiFuyu's uncanny ability for water was now supporting the orb, the orb that had become so important in their lives and clan.
The water was in constant movement, it rose to meet the orb then gushed back down in consistent waves.
Murmurs and whispers traveled throughout the cavern, causing a distortion of cacophony. DaiFuyu continued, "During a meeting with Yomi, the Solarisclan leader, the orb pulsed red. A sign of death." Another round of murmurs and whispers rang throughout the cave.
"Do you think Solarisclan is planning on attacking?" A distinctive voice shouted from the crowd. A young woman, holding two children in her arms, twins. "Are we safe?"
DaiFuyu stared at the woman, wanting to reassure her but instead bowed her head in apology then turned back towards the crowd. "Now, I am not exactly sure what the sign means, " Shouts of protests began but DaiFuyu continued on, "but I do not believe it is a war."
Sounds of disbelief and anger echoed, "REMEMBER!" Her voice boomed, causing the cavern to shake, "We have a peace treaty with Solarisclan. A peace treaty that was set in place many years ago. We rely on each other, they are not." She paused, "I repeat, they are NOT planning on attacking us."
The crowd, spontaneously, calmed down. The whispers and murmurs died down. From the end corner, a baby began crying. "For now, I would like to prepare for the worst."
"I thought you said there was going to be no war!" A man's voice called out, clearly confused by his leader's choice of words.
DaiFuyu nodded, "That is right, they are not planning on attacking but depending on what may happen, there may be the need to act."
After several moments of strained silence, DaiFuyu cleared her throat. "As of now, we will add several classes to our clan. I will need to assistance of a Deputy, a sub-deputy, a Seer, several class masters and mavens. We need to educate the young, teach them how to defend themselves in any way possible. Remember, the smallest of training counts."
The crowd seemed to nod, but the silence still rang true. How would they solve this problem? How would they decided upon who would carry out those positions? Who was fit? So many questions were unanswered.
Akira hadn't wanted to get out of bed this morning. There was something going on with his head, a splitting migraine that had left him trembling and weak in his little nest of a bed. He would have loved to stay in his den, away from the hustle and bustle of the clanmates who had never really liked him anyway. He didn't like crowds, crowds didn't like him, he really saw no purpose in attempting to drag himself from the safety of his nest. Hell, he'd get up and work a little, try to do something productive- anything, anything, but go out there. He didn't want to, he didn't feel good, he frankly didn't care about whatever clan business their leader had- after all, his job was only to make the pointy things, even if war broke out it wouldn't much affect him- but, well. Last time he'd tried to skip a meeting they'd tracked him down. Which was not pleasant. At all. If they tried to pull him from his bed in the condition he was in now he just might stab somebody, which wasn't going to help shit, and he knew that and he was just being stubborn and...
Oh, damn it all, fine, fine. He was getting up, no need to rush him! (Had he just... lost an argument with himself? That might be kind of worrying, he should probably look into that once his head stopped throbbing like someone had took a chisel to it.) He stumbled out of bed, trying to pull on clothing whilst hopping on one foot and knocking half-finished weapons every which way. Goddess, his head really was killing him. He emerged from his den in a terrible mood, stalking forward toward the back of the crowd as people scurried out of the way of his terrible red glare. He plopped himself down in a crosslegged position, trying to focus on what the leader was saying- it seemed that he'd arrived late, as people were already speaking up against her. That was enough to perk him up a bit- war? No war? War? His head hurt too much for him to make sense of it. All he knew was that a sudden silence fell over the crowd, and Leader had given some sort of call to action or... something. hmm.
Well. He was thoroughly confused. And totally not a morning person, which wasn't helping at all. And so the mind-controller staggered to his feet, pulled himself up to his full (entirely unimpressive) height, and called out. "So you're saying you don't think we'll be able to protect the kids?" He was playing devil's advocate, sure, but someone had to ask the tough questions, right? Besides, none of this really had much to do with him- there was no way his clan would put him in a position worth anything. They all hated him anyway- there was nothing left to do but ask the tough questions that nobody else had the balls to ask. What did he have to lose?

DaiFuyu stared into the crowd, finding the source of that voice. The loud commotion was making it nearly impossible to pinpoint the voice but the leader was able to find him.
It didn't surprise her, Akira was always known for choosing the right words in the wrong circumstances.
"We might be." DaiFuyu replied. "We might not. It's a matter of being prepared." That was not all the truth. Training the kids were only necessary for a parent's mentality. No parent would leave their child unattended if untrained. Production would become stale, people would be afraid of stepping outside. With their children attending training, people would be more inclined to leaving them unattended for a while.
"Everyone!" DaiFuyu called out, "There is no need for panic. We are not at war."
Maybe, maybe not? He'd always been a little iffy about the whole 'clan' thing, sure, because he'd never had much luck with any of the camaraderie they so loved to talk about. Even so, he'd thought better of their leader- better than this "maybe, maybe not" talk she was giving. And for once, it seemed that the clan at large agreed with him. There were definite notes of discontent he sensed among them; not some few troublemakers like himself, either, but respectable adult members of the clan who had lived in this mountain their entire lives. That was probably a bad sign of some sort, though Akira himself couldn't mask that slight hint of sadistic glee that someone else- hell, multiple someone elses- were seeing reason for once. And sure, alright, it was a tad surprising when she managed to find him in the crowd. He'd thought there would be enough noise to disguise him, but DaiFuyu always did have a knack for knowing her clan. He felt her gaze on him as she spoke her next words- and the crowd roared around him, and he couldn't help the slightest smirk of guilty triumph.
Hey, as long as he had the leader's attention, he might as well utilize it, right? "We're not at war... yet. Right?" He was certainly in his element here, all but feeding on the excited energy around him, his mind brushing against those of the clanmates in his near vicinity. It should have been glorious- he could feel his chest inflating, his next words humming on the tip of his tongue- and then the headache that had been throbbing in the back of his mind all morning exploded in splitting pain that had him stumbling, all of his energy spent on merely keeping upright. Even that failed him after a few moments as his footing slipped and he went crashing to the ground, curling in on himself as he tried to keep his head from exploding. The moment his eyes squeezed shut, however, he found a single image shining against the darkness- an orb, a decidedly familiar orb, pulsing a violent, angry red. Um. That might be... a problem. It faded after a few painful moments- not that he had much sense of time, it may well have been eternities- before finally fading from his sight, leaving him weak and trembling on the cavern floor.
Um. Well. This was awkward. The crafter slowly uncurled from his position on the floor (he totally hadn't assumed the fetal position, no, that was embarrassing) and opened his eyes, to find the rest of his clan staring at him like he'd lost his mind. Which may have been iffy even on a good day- honestly, they might kind of have a point. He snarled at them anyway, striking at them with his mental powers, not enough to break in but unpleasant to the point they backed away to give him some space. Leaving him with the question- what in the Goddess' name was that?

DaiFuyu wondered if that was the best answer to expel. After all, the clan members all seemed like they were in panic. At this rate, the festival would have to be cancelled, that would highly displease the goddess. The crowd seemed to worsen with each word from Akira, the two would need to have a conversation later on.
"No, not yet." DaiFuyu replied, "We are not at war at all. We will not be either."
DaiFuyu stared at the crafter with narrowed eyes and a stern expression, "The peace treaty was put in motion to ensure that another war, similar to the last one, does not happen again."
The crowd seemed to agree for a moment but still, many held an expression of disbelief. "Relationships have improved have they not?" DaiFuyu continued, now the crowd was intently listening. "Our trading system provides us with everything we need, and in return, they rely on our materials."
Letting her words sink into the clan members, DaiFuyu chose her next words carefully, "They rely on us as well!" She exclaimed, the orb in her hand pulsing a bright blue. "There is no way for them to attack if we have the resources they need and vice versa."
A dead silence set itself amongst the crowd while everyone stared at each other. Almost immediately, a loud thud was heard; it echoed throughout the cave.
DaiFuyu walked down the little ledge from where she stood and quickly made her way towards her crafter. Her orb repeatedly pulsed in her hands, switching from bright red to bright blue then bright white and repeating the cycle. It was as if it was talking to Akira in strange code.
DaiFuyu frowned at the orb's strange behavior. With a quick thought, DaiFuyu handed the orb over to Akira and waited for him to take it from it.
