The entire day had a gloomy atmosphere tightly wrapped around it. The heavy rain only let up an hour ago, but the drizzles finally let out and only left several clouds in their wake. Maybe it was meant to foretell something? The rain held up the meeting between the two clan leaders, delaying the process. The two were meant to meet around midday but it was almost sundown now.
DaiFuyu glanced outside her cave to see the clouds and no signs of rain, she sighed and stood up while straightening her robe. She lifted her beloved orb, glistening with fluorescent water droplets, and set off for Nex. This would be the first time she would set foot so deep inside Solarisclan prior to this.
It was a decent walk through caves, past the river, through the trees and into the deep forest of Nex. DaiFuyu had agreed upon meeting here for the view and the animals. Deers rarely wandered into the caves, Lunarisclan members survived on the meat of wolves.
It was her first time seeing so many deers and squirrels in one area, the trees were very tall until the ones seen in Littoria. She stopped in front of her destination, a large oak tree. DaiFuyu's eyes glanced around for the Solarisclan leader but to no avail.
'Has the meeting been cancelled due to the rain?' DaiFuyu wondered, the orb in her hand pulsing softly, 'It would be no surprise to me.' She opted to wait a few minutes before leaving.
Throughout the rainy day, Yomi paced the entire flooring of her tent awaiting the storm to loosen up. She was frustrated that the weather had made her plans, rather, her life more difficult than it had to be. The leaders would have to reschedule for another day if DaiFuyu decided to skip out in response to the weather.
Just as Yomi had thought the day had long ended, and so had the agreement of a meeting within her territory, her pacing was interrupted by silence. The silence of the rain ending, and most likely, the clan goddesses allowing the meeting to finally commence.
Yomi rushed out of her tent, quickly passing clan members she ran into, though needed to stop once or twice for the sake of any low flooding terrorizing a few of the tents from the day's rain. She took shortcut after shortcut, knowing the territory like the back of her hand.
Soon enough, she had reached the meeting location. Suddenly, it had donged on her. With the rain ending only a few minutes ago, how would DaiFuyu even have the time at all to make it to the location? Should would need at least another fifteen minutes to make the trek.
However, being early wasn't a bad notion. In fact, Yomi thought she could take the opportunity to catch herself a meal, having staying in her tent all day. With her skills, she boasted it would be done with ease.
In that mindset, she set out for a bit in search of a meal, but came back to the meeting place empty-handed. There wasn't a spec of animal meat around for the taking. She would have been able to catch something, if there were anything left to find at the time it was.
Not that DaiFuyu needed to know that. Why was she late? She was checking on her clan members after the day of rain. Yup. That was how it was, and no one needed to know any difference - especially not DaiFuyu.
Finally spotting the Lunarisclan leader in front of the large oak tree, Yomi smirked. It wasn't a very nice smirk, but the best fake smile she could manage. Surely, DaiFuyu could see her effort- right? Hopefully.
"Have I kept you waiting long?" Yomi inquired, requiring the attention of the Lunarisclan leader. "Just you and me here. No other warriors, menders, anyone." She sighed and rubbed her hands together, "So. What needs to be discussed?"

The entire day had a gloomy atmosphere tightly wrapped DaiFuyu keenly heard the footsteps before actually seeing the Solarisclan leader. DaiFuyu turned around to see the short clan leader walking towards her with a strange smile on her face. The Lunarisclan leader naturally took it as Yomi's smile, which was not friendly in the least. After meeting several times, it was simply one of those things people get used to.
"No, I arrived a brief moment ago." She replied, dipping her head to look at the short leader. At Yomi's next line, DaiFuyu cocked her head to the side while wondering why she felt the need to state something so obvious. DaiFuyu merely let it slide.
"How are things in your clan?" The Lunarisclan leader asked quietly, her eyes trailing down the pulsing orb in her hand. The orb always acted strange when in Solarisclan territory and she always wondered why.
"It has been two leaf cycles since our last trade, what ores do you require?" It didn't take a genius to realize that mining in a swamp area was quite dangerous, one of the main reasons why Solarisclan warriors and crafters rarely ever roamed in that area.
The clearly fake smile plastered onto Yomi's face faded into it's known nothingness. Her normal expression replaced what was, and a dull voice made clear her welcome to Daifuyu wasn't hostile, but not so warm as it could be. No different than Yomi's normal look.
Apparently, Daifuyu hadn't been waiting all too long for Yomi's appearance. She felt relieved at the fact, but there was no reaction that could be seen on her face.
"My clan is doing well. Food is plentiful, and with the given water, our plants should be growing faster than ever." Yomi boasted, never thinking twice to mention any single problem she had with her clan. Even with a truce in place, Yomi would still never come to like the fact that she had to stay peaceful and even friendly at times with her enemy.
Yomi never thought twice of the orb Daifuyu had, since she always held it around. Curiosity picked at her mind about it, but she never felt the need to ask of it's importance.
"And your clan? How are you all holding up?" Yomi asked back, asking with a little more than just returning the question in mind.
For a moment, Yomi stood and pondered the question, then carefully decided on replying with, "Anything leftover or can be spared for my clan's use. We're more needing of bronze and steel than anything else though." She paused for a second, "But that should be expected, with the land my clan owns."
"Likewise, are there any specific herbs or berries your clan require?" In all good intentions as Yomi could possibly have, the effort was partly missing. Of course she didn't care for her enemies, but the more that was traded off, the more that she could take in of much needed weapons.

At the news of her clan doing well, DaiFuyu internally relaxed. Though she was sure Yomi would never state that her clan was doing poorly, she doubted the clan leader would remain as calm as she was now. Not that Yomi ever showed any sort of emotion period. If Yomi's clan began degrading, Lunarisclan's source of plants and berries would diminish or worse, disappear.
"My clan is doing as fine as usual." She smiled gently, "A new cavern recently opened up for a new source of ore."
At the leader's need of ores, DaiFuyu's smile eased off,"Bronze we can do, however, Steel is a little limited for us. You know how toxic that can be." The Lunarisclan leader smiled again, "We are able to do give you Bronze and Iron however, to replace the steel."
"We need a few Mudah, Jambu and Bunga, we seem to have begun running low from the last trade." Mudah was really needed for crafting however.
The orb in DaiFuyu's hands began to shake, slightly as though meaning to tell her something. Her eyes quickly darted down to see that the color blue had shifted to the color red for several moments before reverting back to blue.
This was strange, the orb rarely gave any sort of notice so why had it begun to do so now?
"That's strange..." She muttered, most likely low enough to pass over the other clan's leader. Most likely.
After a quick frown, which disappeared soon after, DaiFuyu looked up to continue the conversation as though nothing happened.
The sign was alarming however, the color red generally symbolized death. But why would it show something like that now? The two clans were at peace, and had been for many years.
Yomi nodded after hearing that her opposing clan was doing the same. Even if Yomi didn't like her opposing clan, she didn't mind if they were doing well enough to trade and assist her own clan.
"A new cavern, you say?" She raised a brow, "I'm glad to hear it. There's only so much ore in one place before it's depleted." Now this she happened to actually mean, and not for some underline intention. If either clan would come to a halt with producing ores- Yomi didn't want to waste a second to imagine it.
"Like I said, anything you're able to trade is good enough." Yomi knew that steel was difficult to acquire, but she figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if there was any that could be traded. "My clan will be fine with bronze and iron, thank you." Though she was mean, she still attempted to use manners, especially to those from outside her own clan.
Yomi didn't take more than a quick glance at the orb which Daifuyu held, since now it drew a bit of attention. The color alone was enough to tell that something had gone astray from normalcy, and to add to it was the opposing clan leader's face of uncertainty. The mumbled statement was heard by Yomi, though, disregarded as it wasn't anything she cared or needed to hear.
Not wanting to pry, yet not wanting to seem unconcerned, Yomi coughed, "That's really all that needed to be discussed today, yes? If something's the matter, we can discuss the plans for the festival at a later time. I'll get the information to you somehow if that is the case."

DaiFuyu's thoughts kept retracing the orb's incident, could someone's death occur during a time of festivity? Was the moon goddess trying to say something? Was she trying to prevent the week of solstice from being celebrated?
After moments of thinking, DaiFuyu finally came to the conclusion that the festival must go on. Only the goddess could tell if it was a good idea or not.
"Ah yes." She finally replied, "that is all for today."
With a slow nod and a gentle smile, DaiFuyu bid the clan leader farewell and made her way towards her clan. Things needed to be discussed, as soon as possible.
