"When you're feeling lost, I'll leave my love," Tadi sang quietly to herself as she walked through the dark woods. "Hidden in the sun, for when the darkness comes." The lights from the clan could be seen flickering through the trees, and the music purred through the ground. Tadi was looking for Etoah. Her mask was pulled up and her swords clinked quietly on her back, her footsteps soft against the worn earth. God, where could he have gone? She thought to herself, rubbing her eyes in exhaustion. The night was growing old, the morning soon to come, but she disliked the idea of their deputy being on his own.
Tempestclan members weren't the only restless ones that hot summer evening. With the moon high above the natural tree-line, Dominic had wandered off from his cramped hide-out, bored of waiting for Cain's release. Perhaps the more daring of the two, he'd began to stalk through the territory without detection of clan warriors, growing braver each time. Not that his hideout was on clan territory. No, he just wanted to prove a point to Cain. Next time, for sure.
Halfway through his stroll, he heard singing, but from his distance, it resounded as a mere hum. Rather than stopping where he was, he squinted, searching for the source of the sound. Gradually, her presence became known-- and that she was alone.
A few impure thoughts crossed his mind, and after a short deliberation, he decided to proceed as normal. What were the chances someone would recognize him after 10 years? He knew the game. A mere wanderer. An intricate liar. An opportunity for fun, maybe more.
"Anyone ever tell you you've got a nice voice? I'd love to hear it in bed."
A nice way to greet someone for the first time, yep.
Tadi tripped in alarm, catching herself ungracefully in a nearby brush. "Holy-" She stuttered, attempting to stand herself back up before falling into the thicket with a crash.
"What...the fuck?" She said loudly from within the branches, her hair tangled in the stickers and her arms twisted uncomfortably. With a great deal of snapping, rustling, and cursing, she fought her way out and looked around- now a complete mess. Noticing the man's figure in the darkness, she glared from under her mask.
"No amount of sad flirting will convince me you've got a big dick." She said in annoyance. Assuming it was a drunken fellow clanmate, she turned and continued on her path. "You really shouldn't be out here on your own. I wouldn't be, but I'm looking for someone."
A low chuckle escaped the man's grin, amused at the warrior's initial reaction. He was prepared for rejection, hell, even embraced it. He could've made it a game, in that case. Instead, he was gifted another game of sorts. He might not have had a clue who she thought he was, but he'd play into it. Obviously she didn't think of him any ol' stranger.
Keeping his distance, he continued to follow her under the darkness of branches and trees. Every time moonlight caught her figure, he soaked it in, painting picture after picture of the masked warrior-- unmasked and unclothed. That glare wouldn't be too bad to keep on her, either.
"Safety in numbers, right? I think we make a good pair."
He snickered, trying to elicit another reaction. Another rejection. Fun and games, for now.
"So if you haven't found 'em by now, they probably don't want to see you, baby. But you know I sure do, especially out of those clothes."
Tadi felt her face burn, her expression pressing into a darker and more embarrassed frown. "Leave me alone, doofus." She said, shaking her head. "You need to sleep it off, damn." Glancing over her shoulder, she attempted to catch sight of him. Failing to do so, she stopped in place and squinted into the dark behind her. "C'mere."
Forcefully covering his mouth, he tried not to crack up laughing at her assumption. Whoever she thought he was-- an image that'd definitely bite her in the ass, he supposed.
Sliding a hand through his hair, he shifted the hair away from his eyes, assuring that she'd get a good look at him. But first, a breath in, and release.
"Don't mind if I do."
Dominic was swift to close in the distance between them, his yellow eyes violating her curves, regardless of what she wore. He hadn't touched her, but in a blink of the eye, he hovered her, a unsatisfied hunger held in his overshadowed gaze.
"I'll give you something to sleep off, alright. What do ya say, babe?"
Tadi jumped back in alarm, her eyes growing wide as she realized he was not a clansmen. Her skin went cold. She raised her hands, keeping him distant from her, and her breathing quickened. Oh no, oh no, oh no. "Who..." Slowly, her voice began to contort and her mask began to join with the flesh of her face. She gasped, looking away from him and trying to control herself. "Who are you?!" Her voice spiked and fell with inhuman octaves.
Although he strutted forward after her, he held his hands up at his side, weaponless. Shirtless, too. He'd have flexed, but certainly there was no need with how defined his body already was.
Taking note of the voice change, his eyes drew back up to her face, finally staring into her eyes for the first time and held it.
"Whoever you want to call me for the night. Maybe Dom, or something else, once you agree to have a little fun. I'll drop you back off here, after. Nothin' to worry about."
She looked up at him, her breath slowing. The breeze rustled the leaves over them as a small moment of silence passed between them. The mask separated from her face, and she reached up and slowly peeled it off, leaving it to hang around her neck.
Tadi watched Dom with starry eyes, taking a step towards him. "Dom..." She said softly, drawing her face towards his. Gently, she cupped her hands around his face and kissed him passionately. The kiss grew in intensity. She drew back, then returned for more. Then, grabbing him tightly by the hair, she forced her tongue into his mouth and drew his out and into hers. She moaned quietly, her teeth grabbing his tongue.
And slowly, her teeth began crushing it, the muscles crunching. She fully intended to bite it completely off.
A beauty in and out of the mask. Dominic's mind wandered to how he'd won the game too quickly, too easily. Caution that evaporated as the warrior drew her face in close to his, whetting his appetite.
Such passion was not one-sided by any means; whatever intensity he received was doubled in return. He tried to block her way from drawing back, engrossed in a feeling he hadn't felt in ages. Not since his reconnection with Cain.
He wrapped an arm around her, he placed his other hand at the back of her head, hiding only the tips of his fingers in her hair. Just enough to push and pull her as he needed--
Before he realized it, he'd been caught in a trap of his own fault. His muscle seared from pain, yet he couldn't pull away. Moving it only caused the pain to worsen, but as long as she held him there, he was stuck.
Comprehending her plan, the arm around her tightened, refusing to let go. His hand then shifted from the back of her head to her neck and squeezed.
Tadi's golden eyes were locked with his. Her iris' burned with untouchable stubbornness and her eyebrow raised, giving him a look that said: "Should I do it?". Though the blood rushing to her head was uncomfortable, ensuring that this man would never harass another woman in this way was worth it. With a vicious and merciless bite, her teeth tore right through his tongue. However- she did not rip it off. Though her incisors were practically flush, the muscle remained intact. Blood spurt into her mouth, to which she let go of him at last and licked it off of his lips. "Oh Dom, that's delicious." Tadi crooned to him, her voice rasping under his fist.
He'd have cursed and spat at her, but the blood spewing from his injury kept him from speaking. He grunted and winced from the initial pain, practically hearing the throb of his pulse from his tongue. His grip tightened for a moment before loosening fully, pulling away as he cupped his mouth. He tried to hide the damage, to keep the blood from spilling, but it'd been no use. It seeped between his fingers, falling to the grass and dirt beneath them.
". . ."
He glared daggers at the dangerous beauty, unwilling and unable to say anything. He didn't mind a bit of blood, but the pain ruined the pleasure, and to that, he backed off. Slinking into the forestry, as quickly as he'd appeared before her, one round lost.
Well, he only ever played a best two out of three, anyways.
As soon as he turned to go, Tadi pulled up her mask. Oh no you don't. She breathed in deeply, welcoming the spirit this time. The mask seeped into her face , her eyes then glowing fiercely and smoke billowing out of her mouth. He thought this was over? Fun. With inhuman speed she chased after him, "Where are you going, Dom? Don't you want to play?" She called to him, her voice a distorted mixture of her own and of another. As an oni, it didn't take long at all to catch up to the wounded creature. A savage growl escaped her throat and the warrior launched herself at Dom, tackling him to the ground. Just as her speed had increased, so had her strength gone wild. Tadi straddled his stomach, grabbing his wrists and pinning them above his head with both her hands. Her mouth, now full of demonic fangs, was gaping with smoke blowing out. Her hair fell around both of their faces, closing them in together. "I'll give you a moment to swallow that blood, my love." The beast said to him, her eyes piercing into his. "And then I want you to tell me what you're really doing here on Tempestclan territory."
As Tadi launched herself at him, Dom felt the full force of her weight fall at once, dragging him along with it. He nearly choked on the blood as he hit the ground hard, the warrior remaining atop him, preventing him from rising. In a flash, he was pinned, held down by an inhuman strength he should’ve thought possible. The mask wasn’t just for show. He noticed the change as soon as her voice morphed and switched octaves, demonic one nature.
When she closed in on his face, he saw the details of beast, heated and boiling. Her eyes seared through his gaze of pain and, had there been more light, would have revealed a reddened face off more than just blood.
“Oowah…keng.”
He’d turned face for a moment to spit out the blood, although he remained tempted to spit it up at her, instead. However, he didn’t need it falling on his own face. His attempts at speaking, even after doing so, were limited at best.
“Weh…keen.”
The truth, in a way. If she could come to understand what he was saying. He didn’t truly try to resist her— at least, not yet. Instead, he met her eyes, waiting for what the fury would do next. His only issue was the pain of his tongue, made worse as he tried to speak. By the end of their conversation, he wasn’t sure if he’d even keep it.
The oni snorted at him, a cloud of smoke flowing down on Dom like a blanket. "I realize you were walking." Leaning in farther, their noses nearly touching, she hissed at him. "But you don't belong here. Were you coming for someone? We found him, you know." Drawing back, she sat on him upright, letting go of his wrists with one hand and using it to unsheathe one of her swords. "We found your man. And he's fucked." The last word rumbled out of her from a dark, hellish place far from their world. "Probably won't last the week, and neither will you at this point." Tadi paused, looking down on him in silence for a moment. Her breath was slow and hot, a black tongue swiping across the top of her teeth. She pressed the blade of her katana gently against his neck, tilting her head. "I think you should come with me. Would you do that?"
