Above the water, a darkness informed by rocks both cold and clammy to the touch reigned. Beneath however, a unique ecosystem of eyeless beings living with superior vibration sensing and curious subterranean adap- Cretoxyrhina's eyes returned from their rolled back position as she breached the water, landing sloppily on the gravel 'shore'. The cave fish, white with an introduced tinge of crimson, flapped about furiously, each thrashing motion inviting teeth to cut deeper. Taking a moment to actually grasp her prey's slippery tail, Cretoxyrhina tensed her jaw and, pulling the fish through laterally, shredded her meal to several different lengths of protein-laden ribbon. [break][break] With hunger sated, Cretoxyrhina now pondered her next destination She had stayed here for too long, depleted what she could take, in this underground river system. Her eyes, strengthened to hunt underwater, serve more than sufficiently on land and in this cave. Throwing on her cloak, Cretoxyrhina slowly tracked her way over the stone path and towards the surface-level exit.

A normal afternoon for Arisa, she had met her quota for scavenging long before leaving her bored. Rather curious, she had recently been taking adventures outside of Solarisclan. She wanted to see if she could map out the distance to the clan's nearest neighbors, but mostly it was just an excuse to not have to do more tedious tasks like gathering for the rest of the day. Besides, she was the Master Hunter now. That kindameans you can do whatever you want, right?
It wasn't long before she approached Tinezar. Personally, she hadn't spent much time in there before, but spelunking sounded kinda fun considering it was hot outside. It wasn't like she wasn't armed or anything, so she lit her torch and began the trek inside.
Yet it wasn't long before she heard the footsteps of a creature nearby. She braced herself, placing a hand in her back pocket, her eyes trained the direction of the unknown entity. "I bet it can't see light," she whispered to herself with a light gasp. "I wonder if it's deaf, too... maybe it only gets around by touch? That would be a really lonely way to live... Poor thing." She sighed. "Now I don't even want to kill the poor baby."
A minuscule change in air pressure, the result of molecules in the cave's atmosphere colliding with one another at an increased rate, assailed Cretoxyrhina's senses. She did not understand why this had occurred but it failed to impede her from approaching the exit. Turning a corner, light made incredibly bright by her eyes, eyes adapted to see clearly through murky and brackish waters, gave her pause. The source of increased pressure and, now that the predator was closer to the light, temperature moved closer, with cautious steps along the moist rocks. [break][break] Frightened, or at the very least wary, Cretoxyrhina backed up, body low to the ground. The dancing, mocking light she had seen held in the hands of the land-dwellers, cave or tree-based, crawled along the rock walls from around the corner. Her eyes began to roll back, her jaw unhinged, legs tense and prepared to spring forward at whatever would appear directly in front of the predator.

Arisa pressed forward listening closely to the sound of pitter-pattering before her. She couldn't catch a glimpse of the creature yet, but as any Hunter might know, the eyes are not necessarily the most important sense for tracking.. She hummed gently and continued forward pretending not to notice the creature. "Hi, there," she shouted to the depths of the cave, "I'm the Great Ninja, Arisa Amane. Nice to meetcha. Oh, maybe it doesn't speak English? Squeak squeak? Bark Bark? Rawr XD?"
She puffed her chest and let out another sigh. "If you're just antisocial, that's okay too. I just wanna be friends. I can't kill a deaf animal."
Cretoxyrhina bristled at the wildly different sounds coming from the small figure ahead. A better view would have been possible without the dazzling handheld light obscuring the majority of the picture. Without thinking, she warbled softly. The thought of giving away her position dawned upon her then and Cretoxyrhina skittered backwards even further. "Meetcha, toobad." squeaked out of her, and echoed around the cave walls to her chagrin. The area of the cave boasted many rock formations and crevices, but none truly large enough to properly obscure Cretoxyrhina's frame. As such, the predator's legs could be seen, if looked for carefully, poking out from behind stalagmites.

"Gah! It's a cute girl after all?" she screamed in excitement at hearing her voice. "What do you mean its too bad to meet me? I promise I am not scary. What are you doing here in this cave? It's pretty dark here. You'll ruin your eyes without a torch." She paused. "Wait a minute, are you even human? Do you have a name? What's your favorite snack? I bet it's cave spiders. Also how do you know to speak? Do you have friends? Are there more cute cave girls here?!" Her excitement got the better of her.
