[break][break]Yukai is a bit of an eccentric character. He seems obsessed with his appearance and cleanliness. He is nervous most of the time and is very weary of the unknown, much like a house cat. He rarely keeps eye contact for long and will continue to be distracted by slight asymmetries on his body. He often seems to be daydreaming about very practical things, and usually carries tea around wherever he goes. He has memory problems and can't seem to remember his real name. [break][break]
His rumored alter ego, Akurai, acts as a foil to Yukai. He is aggressive, impulsive, and obsessed with death. Although just as fearful as his other self, Akurai seems to only exist to make others suffer. For this reason, Yukai keeps him tightly locked away on most occasions. Although not very strong, it seems Akurai is entirely difficult to kill, suggesting he may not actually be human.

[break][break] Yukai grew up with his sister, Yume, both quite uncertain where they came from. They spent their early life glued at the hip, making ends meet however they could. Fortunately, his strange power granted them access tofood tea, but regardless, the two found themselves without a consistent home for years upon years. Some caregivers would house them for months or even years, but they proved a bit too troublesome to be handled by normal parents. It was in the care of a set of Infernoclan monks that it happened. Five years ago, there was a raid on their monastery. People adorned in strange masks skulked about the monastery searching for something beyond their comprehension. Yume was the one to let loose the first scream and quickly thereafter, they were noticed. They approached the children confidently, covered by the darkness of the night. They were intent to kill the dreams, but one of them halted the crew, approaching the quivering Yukai. He dropped to his level, holding the dream's chin up to meet his eyes.
