Ookami awoke at a much later time than preferred. Judging from the surrounding sounds, or lack thereof, he made the assumption that everyone was asleep meaning it was too early for life to be active. Unfortunately, his body chose this time to be awake.
The mender chose to stay in his bedding, turning to his side for comfort. Unfortunately, sleep never came to him. With a regretful sigh, he stepped out of his cavern and made his way towards Solarisclan territory as he did every morning when no one was around.
He knew there was nothing wrong with being in the opposite landscape but Solarisclan members tended to be quite...unwelcoming, passively forcing him to leave before he was finished. The words were not spoken but their eyes spoke what their lips could not.
The mender exited the mountain and made his way towards a now familiar forestry landscape. Ookami passed several familiar herbs before arriving at a certain area with a particular herb he could not recall. He stopped in his tracks, knowing he knew this particular specie but the name was just not appearing like it used to. Ookami crouched in front of the plant and moved his hand to touch its leaves before stopping for two reasons.
The plant's features finally appeared in his mind; poisonous leaves, watery stems and sticky roots, it was now so clear. Maybe the early morning hours were affecting him, next time he would make sure to rest for a few extra moments. His hand subconsciously brushed a piece of hair out of his eye, a nasty habit from that Solarisclan girl. Quite a nasty habit that he now barely noticed.
His mind wandered towards that day, the day she stumbled upon Lunarisclan's sacred ground. He only helped her leave to avoid the look of disappointment from Leader. Then she took the liberty to touch him, such a puzzling girl, a puzzling interest.
The sound of branches snapping cought his attention to the left, a pair of glowing red eyes flashed before suddenly disappearing, followed by heavy footsteps.
Ookami, being the curious mender he was, began walking towards the supposed creature, or maybe a human with red eyes. He doubted it, eyes rarely glowed in humans. Ookami seemed to be the only one in his clan, that he knew of at least. Introductions were not a necessity in the clan.
After ushering the branches and bushes apart, Ookami was only welcomed with the appereance of a silverish white wolf. It seemed a little smaller than a wolf however. Suddenly the animal approached him with such trust that Ookami was actually dumbfounded. What cursed creature trusted a human nonetheless.
It was a white wolf yes but the eyes were not blue, making it acceptable for hunt. Ookami stared at the creature as though it were a puzzle, where had it come from? Wolves weren't exactly common in the forest. His thought trance was cut by the sounds of branches snapping to his right. Could it be another creature?
At the sight of the familiar girl, whose name he could not remember at the moment, Ookami's excited eyes from the puzzle seemed to frown. It was early in the morning, too early for a normal Solarisclan member to be wandering around the woods. Then he caught himself, this girl was everything but normal.
"..." He stared at her then at the large bird attached to her shoulder. His eyes twitched, a sign of interest on his part but small and barely noticeable. A series of questions rushed through his mind, questions without answers for once. The girl was rather puzzling, a puzzling interest indeed.

For one reason or another, Yuuka slept through the previous day. Whatever the case, Yuuka was awake now and wasn't going back to sleep. Blitz- her large black bird a size larger of almost any bird ever recorded yet weighs close to nothing- felt practically the same way. Sleepy during the day, fully awake at night.
Yuuka didn't find anything wrong with taking another stroll through the Solarisclan forest. In fact, she met Blitz the last time she went alone. 'So long as I take him with me, won't he be able to scare away anything out there?' That was her thinking to the situation anyways, good idea or not so much.
"Blitz." A quiet and partly scratchy voice from a long time of no use called for the creature, and his red orange lit eyes turned their attention to her. He rested upon her shoulder, though he looked way too large to actually be perched upon it and comfortable in the slightest. Either way, Yuuka was taking him outside, and the fresh air was fine enough for Blitz to agree.
Yuuka's thoughts shifted to perhaps where the two of them should walk. By random, her decision led to Fushe. Perhaps its beauty could match that of its looks during the day.
As she strolled through the forest, leading over to Fushe, she stroked Blitz's feathers. He was always high and alert when they went out of the tent, she noticed. Not that she really cared to notice. In fact, she didn't bother with what he did at all, so long as he was around her. She liked his company, strangely. Not being around him was... Well, she didn't like it, and she didn't know why. Blitz was stuck with her.
Finally reaching their destination, Yuuka took a look around, as did her bird. Blitz's eyes shot directly to her left, and as she saw what caught his attention, a face of familiarity appeared. Now who was wandering on someone else's territory?
"Ookami Crow-kun..." Yuuka blinked, staring at him blankly. There was no focus in her gaze at all, and she seemed detached. Even with the white wolf beside him, which she did take a second to look at as well, nothing snapped in her mind to pay full attention to what she was looking at. That was Blitz's job for the moment. To take in what she could not.
Ookami's eyes narrowed at the nickname, his thoughts were the same as with any other nickname. He disliked it, a lot. The mender didn't bother wasting time to tell her about it though. It didn't matter and he wasn't here to make small conversation.
He noticed how her gaze dulled, she seemed to have a more collected light to her eyes but now they were just as before. Ookami's brow twiched in fascination, he wondered what that was about but chose not to say anything. Again, why should he?
The wolf beside him seemed to growl at the bird perched on Yuuka's shoulder, making him finally want to investigate how she could be lifting something rather large with no effort. At least it seemed like no effort.
Ookami walked towards Yuuka, his gaze fixated on the black bird on her shoulder. Blue orbs looked down at Yuuka for a moment before looking up at the bird. Its dynamics were rather similar to the other birds, the same foundations meaning the weight should be excruciating but it wasn't.
His hand reached over and lifted the bird with little to no effort, blue orbs slightly widened in fascination. How peculiar. Ookami lifted the bird, making sure its foot was flat on his hand. Up, down, up down, and repeat. He wondered why the bird was as light as a feather.
"Interesting." The bird was once again perched onto Yuuka's shoulder. Ookami had half a mind about plucking a feather for further research but decided against it... His blue eyes stared at the bird before going ahead with his previous desire. He quickly plucked a feather and hid it in his pouch before seeing it flaming red beneath the now removed feather and begin forming a new feather.
Ookami chose to be fascinated later on, he was sure the creature would soon angrily peck him and he was ready for it. 'It was worth it.' He repeatedly chanted in his mind like a charm. Who wouldn't want the feather of a weightless bird?
The wolf behind him growled and trotted towards Ookami. It continued growling at the bird as though warning it though, judging from the bird's expression, it probably wasn't working.

Yuuka twitched as she stood and watched Ookami handle her bird. Any other moment she would have reached out to touch the bird again, for some strange attachment to it told her to. But for now, she unwillingly restrained herself. Ookami was only observing him anyways, but Yuuka's mind was too blank to think of such a notion.
On the other hand, Blitz became slightly irked by him being studied, even if his fundimentals didn't make all the sense in the world. Being lifted wasn't a problem. He was close enough to Yuuka if something were to happen, and he could easily fend for himself were an issue to arise.
In fact, perhaps Blitz would demonstrate. Plucking a feather of his and without warning, without permission. The bird didn't take to that without a problem.
The wolf that stood for Ookami meant nothing to the bird as Blitz took a few hard pecks to the Mender's shoulder, without relent. Blitz then expanded his wings and took flight for a moment, circling them over before landing on Yuuka's opposite shoulder with an angered look in his burning eyes.
Yuuka pet his wings, and when the new feather reformed, pet that one specifically. Not that she paid all too much attention to what Ookami was doing as opposed to just staring at the bird taken off her shoulder before.
"Blitz." Yuuka spoke the bird's name, and he refused to look at her. How could it, when she let the strange man take him off her shoulders then have the liberty to pluck one of his very own feathers, right? Yuuka didn't take note of Blitz's anger, as oblivious as she was.
"And?" Yuuka turned her bit of attention to the wolf beside Ookami, requesting for a name. Not that she would remember it right away if it even had one. She remembered things by her own ways, after all.
