appearance
GENERAL INFORMATION
✦ NICKNAME - Kira, Killer, various oaths and insults.
✦ ALLIANCE - Lunarisclan.
✦ AGE - Twenty three.
✦ HEIGHT - Five foot three inches.
✦ WEIGHT - One hundred sixteen pounds.
✦ ABILITY - Mind Control.
PERSONALITY
✦ PERSONALITY - Akira is a bit of an loner in his clan, spending his days locked away in his shop with very little human contact- and, perhaps more alarmingly, it doesn't bother him in the slightest. It isn't that he doesn't like conversation, per say- he's actually quite talkative when the opportunity presents itself- it's just that others don't really tend to seek him out. He can be a tad unsettling at times, with his piercing blood-red stare and creepy tendencies to see into others' minds. In fact, he makes a hobby of playing with people, messing with their heads for no reason other than he has the power and he finds it amusing. Even should he go too far, he rarely apologizes on account of his pride, though he isn't one for a physical fight and is actually something of a pacifist.
Seeing as image is incredibly important to him, he can be quite vain, judgmental, and selfish at times; he has an almost obsessive urge to collect or even steal things, the shinier the better, and that's part of why he took it upon himself to be a crafter. That isn't to say he doesn't have a brilliant mind, however, because he does, always creative and innovative when it comes to metalworking. Sure, he has a short attention span, but though that lets him multitask brilliantly it also makes it so he cannot work well under time constraints. Considering his energetic, almost hyper personality, he's rather surprisingly laid-back about most things, rarely getting angry or sad; just don't ask him to rush his work, because he has problems with authority, a stubborn streak a mile long, and a steadfast determination to take his time- not that it's a bad thing, seeing has he's also very particular about providing only the highest quality and performing at his best.
He's very dedicated to his craft and his clan, and though his pride and his social problems get in the way of that fact sometimes, he's actually extremely loyal to his clan- say what you will about his generally manipulative behavior, he enjoys company and is almost desperate for attention. Though he might tell you otherwise, when it counts, he really does want people to like him- he just doesn't know how to make that happen.
HISTORY
✦ HISTORY - Akira was born far outside of the clans, in a small traveling community composed of mainly merchants and craftsmen. He never quite knew who his father was, presumably some man his mother had spent a night with in some foreign land, and seeing as how children were rare in their group, he was raised as a child of the whole community, spoiled and adored by all. He found himself surrounded by gold and gems at every turn, even as a toddler, and though none of his extensive family ever got to keep any of it, seeing as it was all for trading, riches became a goal engraved into the back of his mind. He watched his uncles and his aunts and his adoptive cousins work with ores and trade in exotic inventions from all over the known world.
He was separated from the main bulk of his group when he was about eight or nine, as they stumbled upon a hostile gang who jumped them for their goods. Though they always had superior weapons the merchants never had the skills or the strength to use them, and it was a massacre- until the young Akira, in his panic, unleashed some new power within him and convinced every last one of the raiders to spare his life. He pilfered whatever goods he could carry- including a set of solid golden bangles and a small scepter which his mother had forged- and set off on his own. He managed without joining the clans for over a year- put off by their violence and his fear of getting close to and losing anyone else- surviving by 'convincing' whatever weak-minded individuals he came across to give him food and water. He did honest work, too, learning to sharpen and polish weapons and other small tasks, but for the most part he lived off of his wits
Until, as a young almost-teenager- twelve? Thirteen? he didn't really keep track- he accidentally stumbled upon Lunarisclan territory. He'd been wandering into the mountains in the hope of finding something valuable he could learn to craft- his skills were crude, sure, but it was much easier to convince someone they were getting a good trade than to outright steal from them. He ran into a patrol, and though they were far from friendly, through some combination of his luck and skill and their mercy he found himself being led into Lunarisclan camp. Though the crowds and warriors made him jumpy, he swore alleigance to their leader, and he had to admit that he was enchanted by the superior materials and knowledge of their so-called 'crafters'.
And so he spent the rest of his years as an apprentice in the mountains, learning the craft of his dead family, trying desperately to win his way into the others' good graces even as his constant attempts to break into their minds drove them away.
