CHARACTER PROFILE ✦ PERSONALITY - Ookami is known for being indifferent and anti-social. He prefers to spend his early mornings wandering around the caves and no man's land territories in search of interesting plants. Ankokku is a man of few words unless the topic is medicine, then he becomes a fascinated chatterbox. In most cases however, he can be very cold and uncaring if the topic does not interest him, unfortunately, very few do. In regards to his clan mates, Ookami can be very protective, especially if the clan member is his apprentice. Ankokku also has a tendency of being judgemental, first impressions mean a lot to him. This also means that he sees people for who they are, most of the time. He loves his clan and works hard to keep everyone healthy and well. Ookami is well knowledged and skilled in what he does. Ankokku can be caring but very subtly to the point where many simply believe he is cold. He has a habit of over-thinking situations, trying to discern what the best course of action is. This makes him well prepared for many situations ranging from a disease coursing through his clan or a war outbreak. |
CHARACTER BACK-STORY ✦ HISTORY - A chirld born on a moonless night was foretold to be cursed throughout his or her existence. With the moon, associated with a goddess, absent, any births occurring on such a night would surely end in a disaster. The goddess would not be there to bless a new birth. This was no different for Ookami. Ankokku was born on a night with an absent moon by Anko Ookami. The woman died during her delivery and was quickly cast off. Villagers had warned her and encouraged her to delay the birth until the next day. Unfortunately, she did not and in retribution, she gave her life. Once Ookami was born, he began living a life of persecution. Anko was dearly loved throughout the village. Ankokku, having been impatient in greeting a new world, was the main cause of her death. The first fifteen years of his life, Ookami lived while having to watch his back in fear of an attack. He was persecuted and hated throughout the village until a fire broke out on a moonless night. All villagers associated the fire to Ookami and his cursed existence. When it came to relocating the village elsewhere, Ankokku was left behind without a second thought for fear of another fire. Ookami roamed the lands of Lalonia for a year with only the raiment on his back to remind him of his village. He came across a cave which provided him shelter against the rain and large animals. Ookami became knowledged in medicinal plans throughout that year. Where most learned about the good and bad plants, Ookami was forced to learn and experiment. Throughout that year, on multiple occasions, he had to suffer long and feverish nights from biting into poisonous fruit. Rumors circulated amongst weary clan members of a young boy residing in the east cavern. It barely took a week before the rumors reached DaiFuyu's ears, causing her to investigate the credibility of such a rumor. It was true, this young boy was suffering from a fever. The pimples dripping pus on his arms and legs immediately informed DaiFuyu that the Atan plant was responsible. Ankokku regained consciousness a week later, after a long battle between his body and infections. DaiFuyu was responsible for his well-being throughout that week. "Finally awake are we?" DaiFuyu's voice sounded like a breath of fresh air. "You were poisoned by an Atan plant." The boy remained silent. "If before the next sunup, the person infected is cleansed, he or she has a slight chance of surviving. I wonder then, why even after a half moon as gone by, you were merely suffering from a fever and the pimples." DaiFuyu wondered, Ankokku was unsure as to whether she was speaking to herself or to him. "What is your name?" She asked him, to which he rasped, "Ookami." DaiFuyu smiled, "welcome to Lunarisclan Ookami." It took several months before Ankokku finally realized that Lunarisclan was his first, and hopefully final, true home. |
