It was that time of the week, the Menders of solarisclan take this time to go out into Fushe to find berries and herbs needed for medication. Usually this part of the job is left to the trainees and some Menders that worked under Joseph, but a rare flu disease had just hit the clan. Thankfully it wasn't anything too serious and it didn't affect many people, but now they had to find some Merah berries and at least one Enan tree. Joseph could have asked one of the trainees to this job for him but he didn't want to expose them to the poison right now. Joseph went by himself with a small bag that a small machete sticking out of it, to be used in order to cut the stems of an Enan tree. He had a pair of gloves on just in case he touched anything poisonous by accident, and two empty baskets, one in each hand.
The day was clear like how it normally is in this territory with a slight breeze blowing from time to time and birds chirping here and there. Passing through the beautiful scenery you could see many different kinds of berries and plants. Some were so beautiful that they were just begging to be picked up, Joseph couldn't count the number of time a stupid couple came to him all blotted with allergies and infections, because the boyfriend picked up a cute venomous flower and gave it to his girlfriend . People really need to know the dangers that something so beautiful can have.
Swinging from the branches of a tree, the blonde hunter had watched time go by in Fushe. The weather was pleasant enough, and she hadn't much to do at the moment. Or at least, that's what she kept telling herself. The clan was fed and fine, good enough for Amai to call the rest of the time off and all for play. What to do, what to do- other than swinging off a tree branch all day.
Thing is, the view was perfect from that height. The place was beautiful, and she could see why the Menders wanted the place to themselves. Again, what she had thought the area was about. Just the land for each class of clan. Divided or not, Amai found that she liked drifting about, and nothing was going to stop her from continuing to do so.
Right as she was off back into her daydreaming of the day passing by, two birds almost smacked right into her. She jolted up and wanted to steam, glaring at the birds that had missed her by inches. That's when she noticed a Mender walking about the clan territory. Oh goodie, now she wasn't lonely any longer. Might as well mess with someone new she hadn't spoken to before, and start up some conversation.
"Yoohoo~! Hey, you there!" Amai called, hanging off a tree branch upside-down and waving, "Whatcha up to~?" She put on a fake smile, not that anyone would know the difference with what she tried hiding. The conversation she had just tried to start up would only attempt to cease her slight boredom, and perhaps if the Mender was busy doing something, she would find it funny to mess around and disturb his work.
SAY YOUR LAST WORDS BECAUSE YOU AND I ARE BORN TO DIE
Lust was in the forest training , she felt that maybe it was time to practice and maybe go a few rounds with some of the other clans warriors. She had yet to see anyone of them in combat, the idea of the power that they may have gave Lust goose bumps. She had not been training or practicing in a long time, and the idea of going back to her father for help was far from her mind; she wanted to grow on her own with him or her brother. Lust also got the idea that maybe the reason she was unable to grow is skill and power was because of her feelings towards her farther and brother, she was soon going to have to learn to forgive them both.
Lust found a tree and put her sword down next to it, she then started to practice; Lust motioned her hands above her head and motioned down, she then started to move forward on each swing and move backwards on every recoil. She kept this up for 40 minuets before she decided to mediate, mediation was something that her farther asked both her and brother to do before that wild any time of sword or weapon. It was a way to make sure your in peace with your self, and everything around you. He said " you should be able to feel the earth and it's heart beat and how life moves and dances to it". When Lust was 7 at the time , she really did not understand what her father said and just followed along blindly; but as she become older it helped her solve a lot of problems and grow in power and skill.
She sat under the tree for a while, the air started to move around her ; it flowed in swirls with leaves flowing with in it. She soon felt her another force but this force was inside her own body, she could only feel it and it was growing and it felt like something was holding it and blocking it. Lust decided to maybe sit and see if she can unlock this force.
His mind was pretty much blank as Joseph walked through area scanning the plants nearby. Everywhere he looked there was some kind of plant that could have a positive or negative effect on the human body. His mind was now filled reviewing what each plant did and the effects it could have on someone, he was preoccupied with those thoughts that he forgot to pay attention to anything else, so a sudden Yoohoo easily took him by surprise.
Coming to complete halt and quickly looking around to the sides and behind him Joseph couldn't find where those words originated from, until he heard the same voice asking him what he was up to. It was then that he looked up at a tree to see a blond girl hanging upside down from a tree. Joe had no idea what to make of this, this area was usually roamed by Menders, and Joe knows most of the menders but the face of this girl was one he had not seen. He would've remembered a cute face like that. With a face that said, who the hell is this, Joseph began talking to this new girl.
"Hi" Was the only thing that Joseph could say at the moment. "Umm, just walking around looking for some herbs." Joseph said answering her previous question. He tried to figure out who she was but came up blank. She was probably not a warrior since he has seen most of them after tending to their wounds, a huntress maybe since she seemed to enjoy hanging from that tree. "How about you? How's it hanging?" Joseph said as small pun to lighten the mood and relax a little after being startled.
Amai nodded, which wasn't exactly the best idea considering that she might have fallen off the tree branch by a moment like such. She swung around, steadying herself up on the branch and positioned herself to safely look down on the Mender. Playing it safe, she brushed off the clumsiness and waved at the male.
She knew it. Work related tasks that Menders were assigned. Goddess, that sounded ever so boring. Of course the goody-two-shoes Menders wouldn't think twice about completing whatever orders had been given to them. Of course, she would never say this all aloud, and she knew no better as to the real cause of whatever work Joseph had been doing.
Amai stretched back, glancing to see another Warrior practicing, or, doing whatever the heck she was doing. Amai didn't know, and Amai didn't care. As long as the Warrior caused a bit of disruption from Amai's boredom, she could care less about whatever happened.
Smirking, she tore off a large bit of the branch and threw it at the Warrior. It was large enough to be noticed, as it smacked her shoulder for attention. Amai tried to control her laugh.
As it seemed like, she had tuned out. So Joseph's question barely registered in her mind, "Huh, oh, yeah, I'm alright! As you can see, just hanging. Not much on my end to do, so perhaps I could bother you." She giggled to herself, noting, "Which rhymes, by the way. At least, somewhat."
With that, she climbed down the tree, and faced Joseph. She held her hands behind her back, tilt her head some, and grinned, "I'm Amai." Quite simply, she waited for an introduction by Joseph, as well. And if Lust seemed to come on over to the other side of the tree, there would be another introduction to make, too.
SAY YOUR LAST WORDS BECAUSE YOU AND I ARE BORN TO DIE
Lust felt that she was getting closer to unlocking the power within herself, she could feel herself become one with the earth ;suddenly she was hit in the shoulder with a small tree branch. Lust then looked in the direction the branch was thrown ,she could see a girl with blond hair move down the tree in laughter. The idea that someone could be so childish ran through her mind , this is so pointless. Lust was trying to regain her focuses, so she could continue what she was doing before but she could not she lost her tranquility by being disrupted.
She soon decided that maybe she could find a better time to meditate and search for her answer; Lust decided that for right now she needed to have a little talk with this girl. Walking over to pick up her sword that she placed on the tree next to her. She began to walk in the direction she saw the girl climb down in;Lust started to walk over she pushed some bushes out of the way and saw a man with light green white hair, she also saw the girl that she was looking for they talked and exchanged some information. She also over heard the say her name "Amai" Lust started to think the name was cute name for this female who did not lack in beauty. Lust also decided to stop acting like a creep and step out, she moved the bush and walked out "Hey mind me asking but did you throw the branch at me? " This was a question that Lust already knew the answer to ,this was a test for Lust can see how this person acts.
If she was going to tell a lie to another clan member, then maybe Lust needs to pay mind to the type of people she talks to. "Also I am, Lust a warrior new to the clan." Lust felt the need to introduce herself so it would not sound as if she was coming off rude.
He wasn't sure what to make of this girl who was swinging on tree branches, she seemed pretty athletic, maybe a bit clumsy and distracted as she quickly switched her glance from Joseph to somewhere else. Since he was on the ground Joseph couldn't see what she saw, but he did see her tear apart a branch and throw it in the direction she was looking. Joseph only watched dumbfounded not knowing what she was doing and in an instant she came down from the tree and stood in front of Joseph, her face very close to Josephs.
"Uhh I'm Joseph." He said as he leaned back a bit, not knowing how to react to this type of person. "Why did you throw a branch in the distance?" Joseph asked looking in the direction it was thrown. "No first, why would you want to bother me? I'm in the middle of work trying to find herbs for medicine." He said realizing what she meant when she came down from the tree. This was not the time to be playing games, Joseph had sick people back at the camp he had to treat.
It was at that moment that the girl named Lust came from the other side of some bush to ask who had thrown that branch earlier. Yet another beauty arrived at the scene, though this one looked more rough than Amai, definitely a warrior like she said; but a warrior that had yet to make her way to Joseph care in the mender tent. Solarisclan really had a bunch of pretty, remarkable women. As she asked the question Joseph raised his hand as if he was admitting to throwing the branch but then pointed to Amai, "She did it." Joseph said bluntly, not having a reason a lie. "I'm just a mender looking for my herbs." Joseph didn't feel like being stuck in the middle a fight between two others when he had work to do.
Amai grinned and waved at Lust, "I did it, of course. You seemed so lonely there, and why not have a clan get-together? We all have to know each other around here better, don't we?" She wasn't exactly lying, but her words weren't those of true intentions.
She nodded to them both, "So Joesph, Lust, nice to meetcha both~!" The enthusiasm in her voice didn't fade in the least to that point as she kept up a positive attitude.
The two looked so focused into their work, it'd be nice to start some disruption, of course. Amai could hardly contain her giggles at the thought of ruining their day. Though things needed to be done around camp, it would be much more amusing to watch them fail than succeed, in her mind.
"Since we're gathered all here," Amai pointed at Joesph, "Mender," to Lust, "Warrior," then to herself, "Hunter. There, all sorted out!" The grin pasted onto her face didn't change, and kept its real look. She must have looked like a real airhead, and perhaps Amai strove to achieve that look to them.
Somehow, she thought of an idea. "Heeeey, what if I were to help you both with... whatever the heck you both were doing. I've got nothing better to do, and I'll get to know you both better. We could be friends, if anything." Amai poured her acting heart into the last sentence, specifically. Her voice was quieter, she tipped her head down a bit, yup. She thought she nailed it. Even she would have believed it without a second thought.
"I may be a hunter, but I can still help out with whatever. Just don't treat me as a trainee, and we're all good." It was going to be fun to mess with whatever the two had wanted to accomplish.
SAY YOUR LAST WORDS BECAUSE YOU AND I ARE BORN TO DIE
Looking at the mender, Lust started to think maybe it was best to go with them to make sure he did not get hurt. Lust also knew that the girl was acting and was pretty good at it " I see you like to play Amai , trust me if you keep up your acting people will start to lose trust in you. " Lust gave her a smile and looked at Joseph; he is important to our village I think it would be best if we maybe got to know each other a bit more. Lust decided to maybe work this arrangement
" So, I say we can help joseph with his work I think you must be in the forest for the Fushe ; it's that time of year right?" " Lust decided she can also take this time to learn about what herbs and what type of berries can do what.
{ Sorry this post is small I will try harder next time }
Amai smirked, finding amusement in Lust's thought of her acting. "But playing is just in my nature. It's fun, isn't it? Who doesn't like fun?" She shrugged, smile wiped off her face and eyes looking away from the two of them. She took a sigh, and spun in a circle. Amai was never one to still, and by standing there, she was subject to listening to conversation where she was doubted. Nothing would go on that she could think of interesting; boredom set in.
Might as well get to know each other before she had an absolutely horrible reputation, right? Right, right. She hoped. "If you guys don't mind me asking," She gently interrupted, "Are you both from the clan? Outside it?" She rocked back and forth on her heels as she spoke, "If it isn't clear enough I'm not from around here, if I didn't know something like that." Sticking her tongue out, a faint trace of a smile was present upon her face. Acting or not, it was quite unclear as the Hunter didn't refuse to look them in the eye, rather, she just chose not to.
{{Mine is kinda short too, by the way. Sorry for that.}}
Joseph scratched his head as the two girls rambled on about going through the forest together and helping Joseph with his work. If he wanted help he could have asked one of the trainees to help him, they at least studied about the herbs Joseph was looking for. However Joe knew that telling this two that he didn't need their help probably wouldn't matter, as Amai seems too bored to be left alone and Lust now seems genuinely interested in helping Joe. Well it's true what Amai said, since they were all members of Solarisclan they should at least get to know each other.
After letting out a small sigh Joseph grabbed his basket and began walking deeper into the forest. "I'm just looking for some herbs to treat some members back at camp." He said answering Lust question. "Well with the three of us we should be able to find the herbs more quickly. Come along, you can help me look for some Merah berries and some Enan trees." He said as he lead them. At least know he could have some protection, though he doubted that he would encounter anything dangerous. "Don't touch any plant that you haven't seen before, you'd be surprised the amount of pain a single plant can cause." If Lust and Amai were gonna follow him then he should at least make sure the know the dangers of the place they're in.
It didn't take a minute before Amai began speaking again asking if he was from the clan. Joe looked back a little befuddled at the question as she added that she wasn't from around here. Was she really new then? "Well I was born and raised in the clan. Being a Mender most of my life, saving as many lives as possible." Joseph said remembering a bit all the work he had to do during the war to get to where he is now. "What about you Amai, where are you from?" With the way she's acting it would be wise not to trust her completely...
SAY YOUR LAST WORDS BECAUSE YOU AND I ARE BORN TO DIE
Lust was also questing the loyalty of the Amai, was she not from the clan or maybe she was from village outside the clan. Lust decided that she should tell her story; "well I am new to the clan, I was born from a village outside the clan and you two are the first clan members that I have really talked too. I left because I have daddy issues and some other stuff and decided to join the clan to escape him and my brother." Lust felt her anger was getting the best of her, she need to calm down so would not be took in by surprise if something was to go down. Joseph told both Amia and her not to touch anything they have not seen; Aka the golden rule of menders to the other people who are not menders with in the clan Lust knew better from a past experience with a poison leaf plant, that gave her a rash for a week.
Lust moved a few bushes out the way, she saw the faces of the other two clan members Joseph looked collected and Amia was doing her own thing. Lust decided to start singing "don't make me sad, don't make me cry, sometimes the love is not enough and the road gets tough , I don't know why" She then relized she was singing in front of people. " O my ,sorry do you want me to stop "? Lust knew that she had a good voice and people did like her singing but she did not like to sing, in front of people now knowing if they liked it or not.
Lust started to blush, not knowing what to do next.
Just to release the ample amount of energy the blonde contained, Amai managed a somersault onto the cool grass beneath her. She strode along behind the two clan members, merely to make sure she wouldn't hit them. The trouble she caused from an accident was unnecessarily boring in her mind.
The Mender's sigh was enough for Amai to speak up, considering that he didn't need the assistance in the first place if no one else happened to be with him. "You know, I'll just come along for the conversation if the assistance is really unnecessary. So you know. You guys won't get bored or something." She made something up and just shrugged. She didn't have to help if help was that unwanted; she just cared to tag along, anyways. As a social person, being alone was nothing but a bother.
Amai nodded as she listened to the two clan member's stories of origin, finally giving an answer of her own, "I came from too many places to only pick one. Constantly on the move, back in the day!" She lightheartedly chuckled, "Village after village, town after town. I never even stayed long enough in one place to find out what the names were. At least I know the clan's name." She stuck her tongue out, holding back a bit more laughter.
Upon walking and noticing a strange plant covered in red spots out the corner of her eye, Amai skipped over and pointed at it, "So you mean don't go touching anything like this since we don't know what it is, right?" She commented innocently enough to Joesph, though she was partly rebellious to following his instruction. Even so, she kept herself from messing all too much with what she had no knowledge with.
In the midst of her findings, she didn't realize the singing that Lust had been generating the entire time. By the time she did manage to hear something, it was only the question of if she should stop. "Stop? Feel free to say what you'd like, Lust. Or sing, in this case. Who are we to dictate anything you say or do. If I ever know a song you're singing, how about I join in with you? I can sing too, you know." She flashed a kind smile, unsure even herself if it was fake or not at that particular moment.
