✦ PERSONALITY – Joseph is a very smart person, though sometimes too smart for his own good as he expects other people to be on his level. He tends to use sarcasm on mostly everyone but this can be good humor or to sometimes he insult stupid people. He is always willing to help people in need, especially if it’s a medical need. Though he’s rarely angered by normal circumstances he does not tolerate talk of relying on Gods. He enjoys being around people, as some people have come to rely on him.

CHARACTER BACK-STORY

✦ HISTORY Joseph Maine was born on the grounds of Solarisclan, his mother was a Mender and his father a Hunter. They were of no significant importance to the clan other than doing their job, but they were very loved by their friends. Thanks to this Joseph grew up with many adults he considered to be his family and the children of those adults were like cousins to him which to him was very important since he was an only child. He loved his parents and they loved him back; he would sometimes learn a few things about hunting, but he was mostly interested in the healing practices of his mother. Though some fathers want their sons to be warriors, Joseph’s father accepted his dreams of wanting to save lives. Joseph had the happiest childhood he could imagine, until someone took that away from him.

In his early teen years the solarisclan was struck with massive heat wave that lasted for months. This was said to have been brought upon by the goddess who was not satisfied with the solarisclan current state in the war. The heat wave dried up a lot of the water, brought illness to the clan and shortened the food supply. Many clan members died, including Joseph’s parent, but Joseph survived. Many children died through the heat wave, their body not being able to hold on, so every child that survived was considered a miracle sparred by the goddess for she had important plans for them in the future. But Joseph knew the truth, it was not the goddess who saved him, it was his parents. Using their last remaining water and medicine they gave it all to Joseph so that he could live. This goddess that everyone worshiped was not a savior, she was murderer, who seemed to enjoy killing off the weak just for her amusement. Now Joseph had new goal in his life, he would save the weak, he would save those people who meant nothing to this so called goddess. However one questioned remained in the air, was Joseph really going against the goddess’s will, or was he chosen by the goddess to save lives in the future?

After this incident Joseph became an apprentice to the Menders and dedicated himself to the books. He would study everything there was to know about the plants, the berries and how to treat all kinds of injuries. Then he became a full fledged Mender of his clan to help save as many lives as possible and at the age of 25 has become one of the best Menders in the clan.
