Sera’s heart dropped, whatever hopes she’d had of things improving. Of finding her mother. Did she and her twin just walk around in circles for his own amusement? That had to be the case— assuming he was also behind the attack on Maelstromclan.
The young warrior took a step back, reaching for Bleu only to notice she’d left him. Dropping the arm, she glanced back at him, feeling guilt from her overlook. They only had themselves… and their uncle, then, that they could come to trust. And even so, Maelstromclan had still had a handful of problems with Tempestclan from time to time. Nevertheless, they had to rely on them.
“So… are we still gonna go out and find her?”
“There’s always truth in a lie.”
Kazumi yawned, having sleepily walked her way up to the two. She’d messed up Sera’s hair as she partially answered the child, assuming that Insignious was in no shape to be talking to about anyone.
“So I’m sure Sig will ask the other leaders about it. C’mon, let’s let him do his thing and help the rest of the clan out, alright?”
Although the young warrior’s brows pressed together, she didn’t protest as Kazumi grabbed her hand and led her over to her sibling.
